Financial Assistance - Loans

Investment Loan Fund - CFPC may provide small business term loans of up to $150,000, to qualified clients, for start-up, expansion or preservation of an existing business within the region with an emphasis on economic diversification and job maintenance or creation.

Entrepreneurs with Disabilities Loan Fund - CFPC may provide small business term loans of up to $150,000, to qualified entrepreneurs with disabilities, for start-up, expansion or preservation of an existing business within the region with an emphasis on economic diversification and job maintenance or creation. Application Process

It is required the borrower(s) be 18 years of age, or in the case of minors, a co-signor may be required. Potential borrower(s) must declare if they are related to any Community Futures employee or Board Member. An application fee of $250.00 is applied when the loan application is recieved and additional $250.00 fee is applied when the loan is approved. The loan application is processed by the Staff of the organization and is approved at the Board level by the Investment Review Committee.

Criteria

Following the review of a comprehensive business plan and cash flow information, applications will be evaluated using the following criteria:

  • Business outlet is located within our service area.
  • Anticipated financial viability.
  • Responsible management.
  • Personal financial or equity investment.
  • Available security.
  • Applicant’s credit history.

Grants and forgivable or interest rate-reduced loans are not available.
